Insurance

A growing number of insurance companies will reimburse for acupuncture treatments. Consult your insurer for the terms of coverage on your policy. However, full payment is due at the time of each treatment. A receipt will be given after each treatment for clients to submit for insurance reimbursement.

Payment methods

I accept checks, cash and credit cards for payment.

Confidentiality

Client confidentiality as required by state law is maintained at all times.

Cancellation Policy

Once you have scheduled an appointment, cancellations should be made no later than 24 hours before treatment or a cancellation charge will be made. If an emergency occurs, please let me know as soon as you are able. I don’t charge for an unavoidable emergency situation.

Treatment Suggestions

To get the most benefit from treatments avoid caffeinated and alcoholic beverages the day of treatment and for at least 24 hours afterwards. Similarly avoid strenuous exercise before and after treatments.

Your Role in the Healing Process and Your Partnership with Your Practitioner

As a treatment modality, acupuncture is not something that is done to you as a passive recipient. Rather, you become an active participant in the healing process. To gain maximum benefit from your treatment, it is important that you take care of your health by eating nutritious foods and by getting adequate rest and exercise. The more you actively engage in your healing process, the more effective your treatment will be. Focusing on your health and committing to a healthy lifestyle are the best steps you can take for your well-being.

Having the opportunity to openly and honestly discuss your health concerns with a health care provider – and having someone really listen—may be new to you. Consider this an opportunity to form a partnership -- to become a healthier person and create a deeper connection with yourself and others. My ultimate goal is to help you engage in your own healing process to achieve harmony and balance.

Your questions and thoughts around this topic are a welcome part of your treatment sessions.
